My Hosting Company Sucks

I will not be renewing with dot5hosting.com. The site has been down, they don’t speak English, I can only get ahold of them by their stupid “support console” which is a ladder type of forum/email, and they won’t fix the issue. The last “fix” said “Please ask your question again”…

WTF!!!!!!!!

Seriously, frustrated, but as Murphy’s Law holds, I’d just re-subscribed and am in a contract until 2013…

But SO mad. AND, the auto update WordPress date is giving me some freaking stupid error about some php error, and I’m just so mad I could spit. They blame ME for changing .php files and that’s why it isn’t working, when I don’t even know what a damn .php file is, much less would I EVER change one.

So, I’m screwed with this company for two more years, but maybe in two years I’ll be dead, or there will be something way better than WordPress or who knows.

But I’m pissed.

After doing some research, I really like the look and features of http://www.hostmonster.com/ (there, they got free publicity from me lol)

Since I know Kid will be the one person to reply to this, have you heard of hostmonster? or BlueHost? Typing in ‘best web hosts’ gets me a slew of sites that rank them, but the one that seems to be consistently in the top is the Bluehost… I’ve never heard of them though.

I’m also mad that I will lose EVERYTHING here. I do backups, and they save in some funky file format, but I have no program that will even open them, nor do I have any clue how to restore them on WordPress, and as everyone knows, the host will say “We do not provide assistance with second party software” over and over. It is a recording I think sent to every hosting company… lol.
